MAH Penang and Tzu Chi members donate PPEs to Penang Prison

Responding to contain the covid-19 outbreak at the Penang Prison, members of the Malaysian Association of Hotels ( MAH Penang Chapter) came together to donate vital personal protection equipment (PPEs).
In all, they donated more than RM10,000.00 worth of goods to the Penang Prison.
Members of the association also bought 10,000 pieces of face masks and 200 litres of hand sanitizer.
In all, some 33 members of the association donated thousands of bottled drinking water towards the worthy cause.
“This is our sincere contribution and assistance in fighting the latest bout of Covid-19 cases in the state.
“The association members hope that Penang will return to Green status soon so as to continue the recovery from the heavy losses incurred during the lockdown period,” said Khoo Boo Lim, (vice president of MAH national board).
Also present was the general manager of Iconic Hotel, Kevin Cheah and other committee members. MAH Penang also recorded it’s appreciation to the general manager of Wembley for coordinating the project.
The donation was handed over to a representative of the Penang Prison.
Meanwhile, the Buddhist Tzu Chi Merits Society Malaysia again donated additional 150 multi purpose foldable beds, 3,000 isolation gowns, 5,000 face masks and 5,000 gloves to the Penang Prison.
Only last week, they had donated much needed PPE items. Among them were 5,000 pieces of 3- ply face masks, 500 N95 face masks, 500 face shields and another 500 isolation gowns complete with hoot, body and shoe cover.
They were led by Khoo Boo Leong, commissioner of Buddhist Tzu-Chi Merits Society Malaysia who was accompanied by other officials.
