The Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) recently announced the appointment of its new chief executive officer, Mohd Daud Mohd Arif, effective April 5, 2021.
Daud will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of MHTC’s operations, ensuring its commitment in facilitating and promoting the nation’s healthcare travel industry.

With 20 years of leadership, he brings a fresh perspective to Malaysia Healthcare’s growth, furthering Malaysia’s vision to be the leading global healthcare destination.
In his capacity as the new CEO, Daud will continue to forge strategic and valuable partnerships with stakeholders in both private and public sectors at home and abroad.
Under his leadership, Malaysia Healthcare will remain committed to raising Malaysia’s profile as a safe and trusted provider of quality healthcare for across the globe.
Daud previously served at the APEC Affairs and Strategic Planning Division, Ministry of International Trade and Industry Malaysia (MITI), the Industry Development Division as well as the Tourism Policy and International Affairs Division at the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC), as well as building the nation’s tourism industry as the Director of Culture and Tourism at the ASEAN-Korea Centre in Seoul, Korea.
