Marriott International Malaysia’s Penang Region Road to Give 2026 Supports Two Local Causes

About four hundred runners, walkers, volunteers, associates, partners and community members came together with one purpose – to give back.
Marriott International Malaysia’s Penang Region Road to Give 2026, hosted by Penang Marriott Hotel, brought the community together in support of the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) and St.
Nicholas’ Home Penang.
Held under Marriott International’s Serve 360: Doing Good in Every Direction platform, the annual charity run combines fitness, community spirit and meaningful giving, bringing together associates
from Marriott properties across the Penang Region alongside corporate partners, sponsors and members of the wider community.
The event was flagged off at Penang Marriott Hotel by YB Daniel Gooi, Penang State Exco for Youth, Sports and Health, who returned for the second consecutive year to support the
initiative. Also present was Michael Farag, Multi-Property General Manager of the Penang Marriott Complex and Gulab Mahatam Rai General Manager Lone Pine Resort.
Members of St. Nicholas’ Home Penang also joined the run, adding a meaningful spirit of inclusion and togetherness to the event.
Gooi commended the initiative for bringing together sports, community and social responsibility, highlighting how events like Road to Give can inspire people to come together and make a positive difference.
“Road to Give is more than just a run. It is about bringing our associates, partners and community together to make a positive difference. This year, we are proud to support the National Kidney Foundation and St. Nicholas’ Home Penang, two organisations doing meaningful work for our community. Every registration, donation, step and cheer contributes to a greater purpose,” said Farag.
A special appreciation was extended to AMD, the main sponsor of Road to Give 2026, for its generous support and partnership in making the event possible.
The charity morning also showcased the strong spirit of collaboration among Marriott associates across the Penang Region, volunteers, corporate partners, sponsors and community members.
Together, they helped create an energetic and inclusive event that went beyond fundraising to encourage healthier lifestyles and stronger community connections.
Adding to the excitement, participants and guests enjoyed a variety of family-friendly activities and experiences throughout the morning, creating an engaging atmosphere for runners, supporters
and families while keeping the focus on health, wellness and giving back.
The Road to Give Charity Run is part of Marriott International’s Serve 360: Doing Good in Every Direction commitment to creating positive social and environmental impact in the communities
