Dialight opens RM10million plant

From its humble beginnings in 2012, Dialight Sdn Bhd, the manufacturer of LED (Light emitting diode) moved into their 90,000 sq ft premises at the Perai Industrial Estate recently.(Feb 10).
 
The new plant is more than 100% expansion of their previous premises.
 
On hand to launch the new state-of-the-art facility was Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.
 
Also present was Penang Deputy Chief Minister 11, Dr. P. Ramasamy along with Dialight MD/VP Asia Pacific Malcolm Lee and Plant Manager Ilamaran Elangkathir.
 
Dialight has also launched three new products in their production line while providing employment to some 250 staff.
 
“Befitting Penang’s reputation as the Silicon Valley of the East, Dialight joins many of the world’s largest electric and electronic manufacturers in making this island their home for expansion and strengthening of roots.
 
“The electrical and electronics industry is the backbone of Penang’s manufacturing sector and plays an important part in our country’s economy and industrial development.” said Chow in his speech.
 
Lee in his address thanked the state and federal authorities for their cooperation and support throughout the process of establishing their new facility.
 
“Our company is listed on the London Stock Exchange with financial headquarters in London while we have engineering and product development in both London and New Jersey, USA with sales offices in UK, Perth, Singapore, New Jersey, Houston and Dubai,” he said.
 
He also expressed confidence in growing their brand further and expanding their reach in the Asia Pacific region alongside product and technical innovation.
