The city of Nanning in China donated two ventilators to the Ipoh City Council for use at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital.

The estimated value of the two ventilators are around RM136,000.
Perak State Exco for Health, Science, Environment and Green Technology, Mohd Akmal Kamarudin was on hand along with Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin at a presentation ceremony at the Ipoh Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital.
The event was held at the hospital’s auditorium.
Also present was Dr. Megat Iskandar Megat Abdul Hamid, Deputy Director Medical (1) of Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh.
The Ipoh City Council had forged a friendship relationship with the City of Nanning since the year 2005. The aim was for the mutual benefit and well-being of both cities and its people.
Over the past 17 years various corporations in the fields of Science, Economy, Technology, Commerce, Culture, Education and Sports have been forged.

With the world being confronted with the Covid-19 pandemic from 2020, the ventilators will be put to good use at the hospital and safe lives.
The Perak state government also expressed its sincere appreciation towards the City of Nanning for its generous donation.
The state government also praised the Ipoh City Council for its efforts in fighting the pandemic by their various contributions in view of providing the centers of vaccinations, etc.
