Chow said that the financing marks a significant step toward realizing the cable car transformation project on Penang Hill.
“With the number of funicular passengers exceeding one million this year and ongoing transformation works at the pavilion, the need for this new cable car project is becoming increasingly critical,”he said.
He also added that the state is also considering extending the cable car lunk from Gurney Bay and a feasibility study is currently underway.
Surely, the completion of the cable car project will add to the list of tourist attractions to the island.
