Myanmar earthquake victims get timely aid from Buddhist Tzu-Chi Merits Society

The Buddhist Tzu-Chi Merits Society came to the aid of the victims of the devastating earthquake in Myanmar by rendering much needed aid.

Led by their Northern Region commissioner Dato Khoo Boo Leong, they handed over RM460,000 worth of blankets and folding beds for the use of the victims.

The donation will be duly handed over to the Myanmar Red Cross.

The total load weighing 7.85 tons will be flown by a Royal Malaysian AirForce military aircraft today.

Khoo also added that two members of the society will follow the trip.

In all, there will be 690 pieces of blankets and 520 pieces of folding beds.
