The Datai Langkawi beat Pelangi Resort to emerge champions at the Malaysian Association of Hotels Kedah/Perlis Chapter inter-hotel soccer tournament held recently. 

The finals match ended at 1-1 draw by the end of full time, thus forcing a penalty shootout.

However, Datai prevailed, eventually winning by a 4-2 margin on spot kicks.

Prizes were given away by MAH Kedah/Perlis Chapter treasurer, Hafiz Hashim representing their chairman Eugene Dass. 

The tournament was played in a league system format from May 29 to June 26, 2023 at the Langkawi Municipal field.

Among the teams taking part were Mercure Langkawi Pantai Cenang, Pelangi Beach Resort, Four Seasons Langkawi, The Datai Langkawi, Dash Resort, Tanjung Rhu Resort, Langkawi, St Regis Langkawi and Westin Langkawi Resort.

The tournament served as a selection ground for players to participate in the MAH National soccer tournament which is to be held in Aug/Sept later this year.
