A popular eatery serving office workers and people from all walks of life in Kulim is Restoran Hasstin Cuisine in the heart of the quaint town.

They serve a fusion of Indian, Chinese, Western and Malay dishes to cater for their regulars and walk-in customers. 

They have been in operation since 2014 and offer tasty breakfast, lunch and dinner choices.

Operating hours are from 6.30am till 9pm, however they take a break from 3pm to 6pm.

“Among our favourites are chicken, fish, lamb curry along with a variety of vegetable dishes. We also offer fried noodles, Wan tan mee, and fried rice (Chinese style),” said co-proprietor, Aruna Devi. 

The tables are made from reconditioned Singer sewing machines which have been recycled into tables.

“My husband is quite hands-on and is always working on new things to be displayed at the restaurant. He is also in charge of the daily cooking” added Aruna.

The restaurant has a capacity of hosting 50 people at any one time.
