With the impending re-opening of international borders wef April 1, 2022, it was timely that the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) opened its new office in Langkawi.
The new office will serve to represent members in Kedah and Perlis.

Guest of honour was Kedah State Exco for Youth, Sports Tourism, Arts, Culture, Entrepreneur Development and Co-operatives, Mohd Firdaus Ahmad.
Also present was MATTA president Datuk Tan Kok Liang and MATTA Hon secretary general Mohammad Faeez Mohamad Fadillah, Nigel Wong, Hon Treasurer accompanied by MATTA Kedah/Perlis chairman Mohd Yusin Mohd Yatim.
Lending support were several chapter chairman from Penang, Perak and other neighbouring states.
After performing the customary ribbon cutting ceremony, Mohd Firdaus and Tan signed a plaque to mark the opening.
Also present was Langkawi Development Authority chief executive officer Nasruddin Abdul Muttalib and Tourism Malaysia representative Mohd Fahmi Nordin.

The spanking new office complete with reception area, meeting rooms, private office space and pantry is located at No. 64-B, 1st Floor, Dayang Walk, Kuah, Langkawi.
