Sunway Group to build hospital and mall in Tambun

The Sunway Group plans to build a medical center and shopping mall in Sunway City Ipoh Township by 2025. 

Sunway Group founder and chairman, Tan Sri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah said that the medical center which will offer 200 beds is valued at RM350 and will be opened in 2024. 

Meanwhile, the shopping center will have 700,000 square feet of space for rent and offer 2,700 parking lots.

Cheah was speaking after the Jalan Tambun launching ceremony upgrading at a cost of RM16.35 million. RM8 will be paid by the Perak state government while the balance will be contributed by the Sunway Group. Also present was Ipoh Mayor Dato Rumaizi Baharin.

The road upgrading work will surely ease traffic congestion and further help bring more economic activity to the area.
