With the coming of the New Year, the G Hotel Gurney introduces its new executive chef.

Patrick Chew takes over as the new Executive Chef at the five-star facility.

He is a seasoned professional who steps up to the plate with over three decades of culinary expertise and unrivaled creativity that is set to tantalize the taste buds of new and returning guests alike. 

Being Malaysian born, Chef Patrick graduated from Académie De Toulouse, France and started his career as a kitchen commis and worked his way up to gain vast exposure from the food and beverage industry. 

He was recognised as an award-winning Chef in various national culinary competitions, he bagged the “Most Outstanding Professional Chef” in Sarawak Culinary Arts Show. 

His passion about food has made him join renowned global brands like Hilton Hotels and Resorts, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, IHG Hotels and Resorts, Hotel Equatorial Group, Rihga Royal Hotel, Accor among others. 

He was also invited to be on the Industry Advisor Panel of Food Studies and Gastronomy at Taylor’s University. 

In his new role as Executive Chef at G Hotel, Chef Patrick will oversee all culinary aspects of the hotel’s various gastronomic offerings which includes: Taste Cafe, Tree Bar, SPOON, Gravity Bar as well as banquets and In-Room Dining. 

With his openness, enthusiasm, strong skills in a vast range of Continental, Oriental & Fusion Cuisine and kitchen management, he is set to inspire the new team with hands-on approach and creativity. 

Chef Patrick will be curating refreshing new menus with a Pan-Asian theme using fresh local grown products and ingredients. 

Drawn to the beauty of ingredients and recipes from different countries, the diners will take no borders in his signature dishes such as Asian Herbs Crusted Lamb Rack and Chicken Rice Arancini just to name a few. 

Guests can expect a delectable dining experience that is bound to impress even the discerning palate. 

“I am thrilled for this exciting new chapter in my career and I’m eager to utilize my past experiences in order to bring excellence to G Hotel’s dining scene,” shared Chew.
