The Macalister Mansion’s “Pink Afternoon Tea” charity campaign received great response and support from patrons recently.

The initiative also crusades for Breast Cancer awareness.

They reintroduced its popular Afternoon Tea to help raise the fund for the Needy Cancer Patient Fund in conjunction with the Pink October celebration.

The unique petite treats are the creation specially made by the culinary team from Restaurant Blanc, a fine-dining French-Asian restaurant housed in the mansion.

The charity drive successfully raised RM2117 from the 10% Pink Afternoon Tea sales in October. The sales include events that were held in the hotel’s new function room – Norman Hall with Afternoon Tea as their refreshment, such as the Breast Cancer Awareness Talk organized by HNG Capital Sdn Bhd for its female staff.

Meanwhile, the owner of Macalister Mansion, Datin Karen H’ng further topped up the fund by doubling the initial figure, making it a total of RM4,000 donation for this charitable cause.

“We are grateful to all our guests for joining us in this life-saving mission despite the pandemic situation. We believe that the fund will be helpful to those who need financial aid for cancer treatment, especially in this challenging time impacted by Covid-19,” said Datin Karen.

A mock cheque presentation ceremony was held on Nov 26, 2020 at Macalister Mansion.

It was presented by Datin Karen H’ng to Ms. Joan Lim-Choong, CEO of Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital.

Although Covid-19 seems to be the big “C” health topic raging over the headlines of every news and industry today, the biggest “C” for Cancer is the number one killer that we should all be aware of. Macalister Mansion looks forward to organizing more charitable events in the future and also activities where patrons will get to participate as well.

The creative culinary team will continue to feature a different theme for the Afternoon Tea following the season and festivals of the month to spread the cheer.

The hotel complies strictly to the safety precaution and SOP set by the Ministry of Health Malaysia so that patrons can look forward to enjoying peace of mind Afternoon Tea session.

The promotions are held from Tuesday to Sunday, 2pm to 5pm. Reservation is required. (04-228-3888)
