Prior to her arrival in Singapore, World Dream has been on hiatus in Rotterdam, the Netherlands after being taken out of service in early February. With the safety and well-being of guests and crew being the highest priority, Dream Cruises has completely re-examined and enhanced all of its health, hygiene and operating protocols to ensure the safest environment for everyone across its fleet and in accordance with the local authorities’ strict guidelines including stringent health screening processes prior to embarkation, disembarkation and safe distancing measures on board; thorough sanitization and disinfection and enhanced hygiene practices for guest cabins, crew member quarters, public areas and recreational facilities; safe food and beverage handling procedures; and, 100% fresh air ventilation in guest and crew cabins, as well as public spaces.
Crew members will have completed their 14-day quarantine on the cruise ship prior to arrival in Singapore and will undergo a further series of mandatory COVID-19 testing as stipulated by the local authorities. Crew will be required to test negative before signing-up for active duty.
World Dream will also undergo thorough cleaning and sanitization prior to her inaugural “Super Seacation” sailings on November 6, to ensure the health and safety of all passengers on board.
As a further testament to the efficacy of the health and safety guidelines on World Dream, the ship has successfully obtained the Cruise Safe Certification by the Singapore Tourism Board and DNV GL and Certification in Infection Prevention – Maritime (CIP-M) from DNV GL following assessment of the Company’s infection prevention and control system.
