Also in attendance to show solidarity were other Liverpool club presidents namely Datuk Yasran Hussain from Liverpool Fans Club Malaysia (LFCM), Sashidaran Batmanathan from KL Koptites (KLK), Faisal from All Reds Malaysia (ARM) and Badurudin Syed Mohamed from Mighty Reds Malaysia (MRM).
The evening proceeded with the march-in of the replica of the Champions League trophy plus English Premier League Champions trophy which were carried into the ballroom by Dato Lim and Member of Parliament for Jelutong RSN Rayer respectively.
A speech by Dato Lim was followed by the exchange of pennants with the other presidents present.
This was continued with lucky draw sessions, special awards and sing along of Liverpool songs.
The Penang Reds in collaboration with Lillianos also carried out their social obligation by raising RM1,255 through a raffles sale where the proceeds went to the Independent Aid for the Protection and Welfare of Animals.
The non governmental organization (NGO) works with the Penang Island City Council to trap, neuter and release stray as a more humane and effective way to reduce stray population.
