Sunway Lagoon and Sunway Lost World of Tambun waterpark reopens

With the lifting of restrictions on theme parks including water theme parks from July 1, 2020, the Sunway Theme Parks (STP) namely the Sunway Lagoon (SL) and Sunway Lost World of Tambun (SLWOT) will open their doors tomorrow, Saturday, July 4, 2020.

The reopening will also feature the latest attraction at the SLWOTin Ipoh, dubbed the “Malayana Rainfortress”.

The much anticipated waterpark which has been in the works will offer guests non-stop, soaking wet thrills for the entire family.

The waterpark brings Asia’s First two-and-a-half-storey Water-Based Dark Ride that will surely boost your adrenaline rush.

You can venture into this multi-tiered giant pool that comes with an Island of exciting twelve (12) water slides, giving you more options on the water based activities.

The Malayana Rainfortress is surrounded by 400 million year’s old limestone hills that will make you breath taking with the scenery and stunning in your Instagram photo.

Meanwhile, both Sunway Lagoon and Sunway Lost World Of Tambun are paving its way to lead with new and upgraded hygiene measures for the safety of guests and staff.

“We have customers enquiring via our social media platforms on safety in all our pools. We want to reassure our customers that both our parks have always pride ourselves in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

“There is also consistent check of our water quality including testing by an independent third-party water quality control contractor. We are always in constant contact with MOH should the need arise and to ensure that factual information is channelled out to the public.”

“Aside to the iconic Surf Beach (SL) and natural Hot Springs (SLWOT), we have practiced prior to the MCO, guests are reminded to take good care of their personal hygiene while enjoying the park.

“We will be providing hand sanitizer to guests prior to and after feeding the animals to protect both humans and our furry friends.”said Calvin Ho, Executive Director of Sunway Theme Parks.

Ho who manages a total of 132 acres of theme parks and 174-rooms Lost World Hotel upon reflection has this to say on the industry outlook, “Necessity is the mother of all innovation.
