“Hotels and resorts have been badly hit due to covid-19 pandemic and this is one of the efforts by our chapter to help its members to bounce back their business,” said Dass.
To this regard, the hotels and resorts have also come up with generous discounts for room packages made affordable for locals.
Dass also added that a similar session was carried out last year in Singapore where good response was gannered but the effort took a dive due to the Covid-19.
The VIP guest in attendance was Dato Dr Ammar Ghaphar who is the Head of events and Domestic Travels for Tourism Malaysia.
Among the governmental agencies which were represented were Lembaga Pembangunan Langkawi (LADA), Lembaga Penggalakan Pelancongan Malaysia, Kongres Kesatuan Pekerja-Pekerja Di Dalam Perkhidmatan Awam, Angkatan Pertahanan awam, Indah Water Consortium, Jabatan Penerangan Malaysia, Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita Keluarga & Masyarakat, Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia, Jabatan Imigresen, CUEPACS to name a few.
Overall, the meet-up session provided positive and encouraging feedback from all those who attended.
