The team from Les Grands Chais de France (GCF), representing the renowned wine-producing region of Burgundy, France, returned to Langkawi for another memorable evening of fine wines, gourmet dining and good company.

This time, the occasion was an exclusive wine-pairing dinner at Jake’s Charbroil Steaks Langkawi, located within the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club, where a select gathering of hoteliers and invited guests came together to savour a curated selection of French wines in a relaxed yet picturesque setting.

The evening was graced by Maxime Boureille, Key Area Director for Southeast Asia, and Paul Ambrosioni, Export Manager of the winery, who introduced guests to a selection of distinguished labels from the Moillard collection.

The tasting journey featured six wines, each offering its own character and expression of Burgundy’s winemaking heritage. The selection included Moillard Cremant de Bourgogne Prestige, Moillard Chablis Coquillage, Moillard Saint Bris Sauvignon Blanc , – Moillard Saint Veran Les Marnes, Moillard Meursault Coteaux Secrets, Moillard Fleurie, Moillard Bourgogne Pinot Noir Le Duche,  Moillard Volnay and the Moillard Gevrey Chambertin Beauversant

From the refreshing sparkle of the Crémant to the elegant whites and expressive reds, the wines provided guests with an opportunity to appreciate the diversity and distinctive appeal of French winemaking.

Complementing the tasting was a tempting spread of culinary delights prepared for the occasion. Guests indulged in an assortment of grilled steaks, succulent lamb, squid and pasta served with specially crafted sauces, before rounding off the evening with a sweet mango dessert.

Beyond the wine and food, the dinner also offered a welcome opportunity for industry friends and hospitality professionals to reconnect, exchange conversations and enjoy an evening of good taste and warm camaraderie.
