In an effort to conserve the majestic Malayan tiger, a virtual art exhibition will be held from June 2, 2020.
The exhibition is in line with Penang State Art Gallery’s endeavour to hold a series of arts and culture exhibitions on-line soon.
Penang State Exco for Tourism, Arts, Culture and Heritage Yeoh Soon Hin said that everyone has to prepare for and embrace the next norm during and after the pandemic, including arts and culture industry.
‘The digitalisation of arts and culture program is one of the Penang State Government’s effort to assist the industry players to face the next norm.

“The Belang online exhibition this June is aimed at raising awareness of the public on the need to protect the now threatened Malayan tiger for future generations.
“This exhibition was initially held in February at Dewan Sri Pinang but was closed down due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Now the exhibition will be returning digitally in line with the next norm. Then art lovers can enjoy the masterpieces through their digital gadgets.” said Yeoh in a press statement.
He said the Belang exhibition e-catalogue will be uploaded latest by May 29 while the online exhibition will start from June 2.
