RM2 Billion Medi-City, Batu Kawan to boost medical tourism

Penang Governor Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak along with Chief Minister YAB Chow Kon Yeow witnessed the Master Purchase and Development agreement signing ceremony for the Penang Medi-City, Batu Kawan.

The signing was between Dato’ Aziz Bakar, Chief Executive Officer of Penang Development Corporation and Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Chan Kong Choy, Group Executive Chairman and Executive Officer of Fajarbaru Builder Group Bhd. (FBG).

The project will involve a RM2 Billion investment over 15 years in the medical tourism sector.

The event was held at the E&O Hotel here.

The project is expected to play a vital part in the development and growth of the state’s economy.

The governor is confident that the initiative will help boost the state along with its ecosystem, innovation, development and result in the benefit to the people.
