MAH Kedah/Perlis chapter roadshow

Members of the Malaysian Association of Hotels Kedah/Perlis Chapter took the initiative to visit their counterparts in the tour and travel industry in Penang to promote their tourism products recently.
 
The casual gathering was held at the Bayview Hotel Georgetown where some 120 guests attended.
 
On hand to welcome guests was MAH Kedah/Perlis chapter chairman, Eugene Dass who is also the general manager of Star City Hotel Alor Star and vice chairman Razmi Rahmat who is also the general manager of the Adya Hotel Langkawi.
 
Also present was the resort manager of Tanjung Rhu Resort Langkawi, Ameran Mohd Sharif, Aseania Resort & Spa Langkawi group general manager Jasmy Othman, Jerai Hotel GM, Safri  Haron, Resort World Langkawi GM, Ishak Yunus, Langkawi Greenish GM, Lawrence Cheah, Bayview Hotel Langkawi Asst director of sales and marketing, Azizah Aziz, Dayang Bay Resort marketing director, Michelle Lim and Putra Brasmana GM, Saiful..
  
 
Lending support to the occasion was the Penang director of the Ministry of Tourism Arts and Culture (MOTAC), Jonathan Freedy Bagang, Tourism Malaysia Northern Region director Ahmad Husni Ahmad Basri along with Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) senior principal assistant manager, Azmil Munif.
 
Also present was Bayview Hotel Georgetown general manager Lynne Choong and Director of Sales and Marketing, Mark de Sousa.
 
The casual gathering saw a short speech delivered by Ahmad Husni followed by another welcoming note from Eugene Dass.
 
“The tourism industry is facing major challenges during these difficult times and we must all come together to persevere and move forward.
 
“We must also work together and not cry and wallow in self pity. We can look ahead to tie-up with Penang, Kedah and Perlis packages to attract more visitors,” added Dass.
 
The evening was followed by a mingling session over high-tea and also a lucky draw.
 
The MAH Kedah/Perlis delegation had also held a similar gathering in Putrajaya last week to promote their destination.
