Tourism Selangor CSR

In conjunction with World Tourism Day celebrated recently, members from the Tourism Selangor Sports and Recreation Club carried out a commendable corporate social responsibility (CSR) project at the Kanching Eco Forest Park.

The initiative was to create awareness on tourism, social, cultural, political, and economic values, as well as the contribution towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals.

 

The volunteers began in the morning to pick up and clean the area around the park.

This is in line with Tourism Selangor’s Voluntourism Programme was an initiative to implement cleanliness, health, safety, and environmental sustainability as the first and foremost priority. 

This effort is expected to be applied to Tourism Selangor’s employees, with the vision to expand the efforts in the future. 

The gotong-royong activity at Kanching Eco Forest Park was carried out by 17 participating club members from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with the aim to emphasize on the importance of maintaining cleanliness and raising awareness on the significance of environmental conservation efforts.

 

Kanching Eco Forest Park is located in Rawang and is about 21 km away from Kuala
Lumpur. 

This forest park is a very popular spot for picnic, camping, jungle trekking and swimming  activities, especially on the weekends. 

In all, there are stunning seven levels of waterfalls at the park.
