The much anticipated “2020 Pink Ladies Brunch” will be held at the Eastern and Oriental Hotel (E&O Hotel) in Penang on Friday, Oct 9, 2020.

They will help raise funds to assist the Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital and Penang Hospice Society in the treatment of breast and other cancers.

The new team of organising committee is led by Tiina Luckins, Susie Macmillan and Jennifer Sheppard who are excited to have taken on the Pink legacy that founder Maggie Territ created 12 years ago.

‘We have collectively chaired many large, successful fundraising, educational, and health and wellness events in Penang and overseas but this is the most humbling experience to date and we are honoured to have been asked to take over the legacy,” said Tiina.

Together with support from their Pink Ladies committee, they are striving to produce a fabulous and fresh 2020 Pink Ladies Brunch.

In keeping with this year’s Pump Up the Pink theme, there will be VIP tables, a fashion parade brought to you by Doublewoot, Klein & Fine and Amee Philips, a silent auction of exciting items, services, and experiences, a tombola, a raffle and a live auction with several spectacular pieces.

There are a few new additions and surprises this year – music will be provided by deejay Carl Hinds, Natalie Turner, renowned author and speaker will be master of ceremonies and body-builder Steven Mark will be a celebrity highlight.

The Pink Ladies’ goal is to boost awareness and raise as much funds as possible to help those in Penang, living with cancer. To maximise this, a brand-new community initiative has been introduced – School Pink Day.

The Pink Ladies invite all Penang schools to participate in this fun and educational Pink activity. Many schools have expressed their delight and interest in this movement and organisers Tiina, Susie and Jennifer are thrilled with the response and involvement so far.

“It is a wonderful opportunity for the schools to receive community exposure and for the children to contribute to the community,” said Susie.

Additionally, Pump Up the Pink themed fitness sessions with Gosia Cano at Fierce Fitness will be held and the Pink Ladies have also introduced Pump Up The Pink t-shirts available for sale.

Further corporate sponsorship and monetary donations are still essential for the Pink Ladies to meet their fundraising goals. ‘More than ever, our beneficiaries need all of our local support,’ emphasised Jennifer.

Due to the unprecedented circumstances of 2020, attendance is restricted to 180 persons in accordance with SOPs.
