The underprivileged Orang Asli settlement in Pos Kemar, Gerik, Perak received much needed assistance of sundry goods from Menteri Besar Incorporated (MB Inc) recently.

The items included mainly groceries like rice, flour, sugar, cooking oil, condensed milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and soap.

The settlement consists of some 350 members and is headed by Abu Bakar Aluej.

A team of 10 members from MB Inc took the arduous 60km long drive to the isolated settlement equipped with the goods on their pick-up trucks from Ipoh.

Due to the unfavourable weather conditions, the convoy had to take shelter in a surau along the way and continue their journey the next day.

The assistance project is part of MB Inc efforts to assist the deprived community in the state during these trying times.

Earlier, MB Inc had also adopted two villages , namely Kampung Sungai Cincin in Chenderiang and also Kampung Bukit Cermin in Kuala Kangsar under the direction of Perak Menteri Besar Dato Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu respectively.
