Emirates promises to be back

“We promise to be back”, this is the message given by the Emirates Airlines when their last flight to depart from Kuala Lumpur on March 25, 2020.

Flight EK343 was the last flight to depart from Kuala Lumpur (KLIA) at 0142hrs to Dubai. Emirates has temporarily suspended all passenger flights from March 25 .

The move was in line with United Arab Emirates (UAE) government directive to protect communities against the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

Similarly, Emirates ground crews around the world have bid farewell to their last operating flights back to Dubai.

Emirates’ outstation airport teams from 39 stations including Prague, Newark, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, London Stansted and Zurich devotedly sent off their last passenger flights before the suspension took effect.

Over the next weeks Emirates’ operational teams will focus on preparing for service resumption.

The airline will resume passenger services as soon as it is possible to do so.

In the meantime, Emirates is still busy deploying its fleet of Boeing 777 freighters, bolstering international airport cargo links for the transport of vital goods, including medical supplies and food around the world.

Emirates partnership with Malaysia goes back to October 1996 when it launched flights to Kuala Lumpur and stimulated trade between the country and points across its network.
