Schoolboy, Mohd Arif Mahadhir Azri from Klang, Selangor was the one millionth visitor to the Entopia by Penang Butterfly Farm in Teluk Bahang today.
He was accompanied by his sister Nur Zahara Azri, his mother Noor Hayati Harun and father, Azri Shamsuddin a MAS employee.
Mohd Arif Mahadhir received a gift basket containing selection of Entopia Store merchandise, vouchers and assortment of gifts, courtesy of their friends and partners from the tourism industry namely, the Penang State Tourism, Arts, Culture and Heritage (PETACH), Penang Global Tourism, Tourism Malaysia, Hard Rock Hotel Penang, Air Asia, Playpenang, The Habitat Penang Hill, Tropical Spice Garden and Teddyville Museum.
He will also be entitled for free entrance to Entopia for the next two years.
“We were not aware that Entopia was awaiting its one millionth visitor to their facility and we were taken by surprise by the confetti welcome and other gifts I received.
“I am also glad that my sister was also the 999,999th visitor to Entopia,” said Mohd Arif Mahadhir who is in Form Three.
On hand to welcome Mohd Arif Mahadhir was Entopia chief executive office Joseph Goh, May Ang, chief of sales and marketing and their team.
“We have been anticipating the one millionth visitor from last week and today we finally achieved the milestone landmark.
“Since the opening in 2016, we have been receiving a steady flow of visitors to Entopia. We had a good flow of visitors in Jan but after February it has slowed down.
“We have also taken the necessary precautions for the Covid-19 like testing the visitors for their temperature and making sanitizers at the entrance and other spots.
Meanwhile, Noor Hayati said that they hope to visit Bukit Bendera and Batu Feringghi as it is the school holidays before returning home tomorrow.
